It won't be visible on our iPads until next Tuesday, but the press has advance copies of President George W.  Bush's Decision Points, available in the Kindle Store for pre-order and due to release November 9 for $9.99.  Tidbits of information are being parceled out, including one that Bush was sickened when he learned there were no weapons of mass destruction (WMDs).

A piece in the New York Times reveals Bush mulled over getting rid of Chaney—at Chaney's suggestion!

“Mr. Chaney clearly pushed Mr. Bush toward war,” Peter Baker writes in the Times story about the book.

From the book, the President wrote: “Decades from now, I hope people will view me as a president who recognized the central challenge of our time and kept my vow to keep the country safe.”

Decision Points joins Tony Blair's A Journey: My Political Life, published on September 2.  The book offered the former Prime Minister's views of President Bush.  Blair served as PM from 1997to 2007, overlapping with President Bush, in office from 2001 to 2009.
