But first, a word from ... Today's Sponsor
If you're a regular reader of Kindle Nation, perhaps you've noticed that I will sometimes introduce a book with the caveat, "This one is not for everyone." I'm sure it goes without saying. After all, how could any book be "for everyone"? Not going to happen, is it?
But this book, Living from the Heart, may be for everyone. It really may.
It's just that we may not all realize it immediately.

Maybe you're a bit like me. I keep my spirituality pretty close to the vest, and I have to admit that I have a tendency to respond to anyone with a spiritual message like they've just knocked on my front door wearing their Sunday best with a handful of circulars for my edification.
But every now and then a blind squirrel finds an acorn, and sometimes I have been lucky enough to find answers where I least expected them. I've read enough of the book that Nirmala is sharing with us this week to know that there are important messages for me in it, and that I will return to it, and probably to his other books as well, often.
This is the point where I say "Here's the set-up." It works when we're discussing a suspense novel. Does it work when we're discussing a spiritual quest? I don't know. But it's all I got, so....
Here's the set-up:
"You may think it matters what happens. But what if the only thing that matters is where you are experiencing from, where you are looking from? What if you could experience all of life from a spacious, open perspective where anything can happen and there is room for all of it, where there is no need to pick and choose, to put up barriers or resist any of it, where nothing is a problem and everything just adds to the richness of life?"
With these words, the book, Living from the Heart, begins a journey of exploration into what has been called the spiritual Heart. For ages, spiritual seekers have been pointed in the direction of their own Heart to find the answers to life's deepest questions, and also to find the true source of peace, joy, wisdom, and love. And now there is a practical, down-to-earth guide to how to access this deepest wisdom and love in your own Being. The many pointers and exercises throughout the book give a direct experience of the open, accepting qualities of the spiritual Heart and show how it can be an integral part of everyday life.
From the Back Cover
The spiritual Heart within each of us is the true source of love, peace, joy, wisdom, strength, and fulfillment. Everything that really matters is found within our own Being. The book, Living from the Heart, is designed to lead readers very gradually and yet deeply into experiences of this inner wisdom and capacity for love. Readers can follow the pointers and exercises in the book and directly experience for themselves the limitless joy and love in their own Being. It is profoundly freeing to find that everything that really matters in life is already here inside of us. What a relief to know that peace, wisdom, and fulfillment are always available if we just know where to look. What a gift it can be to the world when we discover that we can freely give our love and attention to everyone and everything we encounter without ever running out of love or attention.
The first part of the book, From the Heart: Dropping out of Your Mind and Into Your Being introduces the reader to the spiritual Heart and the capacity it gives us to look out at the world with an open, loving, and complete perspective. It offers simple ways to shift into a more open and accepting perspective and to experience your true nature as aware space.
The second part, The Heart's Wisdom, shows how the Heart is truly wise and how it can guide us in everyday decisions. This section points the reader back to their own Heart, the truest source of wisdom.
Finally, the third part of the book, Love Is for Giving, Not for Getting, shows a simple way to love in a truly unconditional way. It guides the reader to discover that the true source of love is in your own heart. It is by giving love that we are filled with love.
