Is your Kindle full yet? If not, feed it well today with an even dozen new additions to our comprehensive, automatically updated Free Book Alert listings. We've got everything from Terri Blackstock's inspirational fiction to the late Ted Kennedy's leadership lessons to a fascinating two-part serial thriller, based on a Jeffrey Deaver concept, that has hooked me, for one, with the promo noting that it will appeal especially to Jack Bauer fans....

But first a word from Our Sponsor

Author Maureen Moore describes Life Of The Party as "a sleuthing novel with a touch of Chick Lit that follows the escapades of small-town Katrina in Toronto.  Gorgeous, woefully shy, and a bit naive,  Katrina finds herself, time and again, in both humorous and dangerous situations. First in a series."

Here's the Set-Up:

"Outgoing? Gorgeous? Enjoy P/T evening work? Good fun! Good pay! THIS IS PERFECTLY LEGAL!"

The ad in the Toronto paper sounds just about perfect for Katrina. Except for the "outgoing" part.

Desperate to escape a creepy roommate and a scary landlord, she must find some way to supplement her meager cafĂ© salary to flee to a new apartment.

Eye-poppingly beautiful but woefully shy, when Katrina is hired as a professional guest (aka PEST) for a company called Life of the Party, her nerves get the best of her. Before she can make a total fool of herself and lose her new job, she's saved by a dashing and mysterious stranger who vanishes into the night.

With the help of her newfound friend and fellow PEST Cathy, Katrina tries desperately to find her mystery man. Her search, and her life, gets disrupted by the nefarious affairs of her roommates, her landlord, and her new boss. Along the way, Katrina learns that she may be shy - but she's certainly no wallflower.
