On Monday tv reporter Michael Finney of Palo Alto's 7 on Your Side consumer rights feature reported on the plight of Diane Campbell, who had saved up her cash for a new iPad only to be told at her local Apple Store that a credit or debit card was required to buy an iPad. (Here's a link to the original story video: http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/video?id=7447013)
As is often the case with such stories, Campbell's plight began to generate a bit of a movement effect, and now Apple has reversed the policy yesterday and is happily accepting U.S. currency for iPads, and presumably for other products as well, according to Finney's follow-up report.
